This page showcases the more fluid style of drawing that i have explored. The idea is to show the human figure in motion. The energy of a dance or the wave of an arm caught in time. The group of black & white walking figures were quick studies exploring spontaneous brush movements.

High Contrast Ink Studies of Walking Figures

A series of black & white walking figures move into the sunset.
These are very high contrast, as the media was black india-ink applied with a watercolor brush.

Looser, Free-form Brushstrokes

These three images were studies for the illustrations of a marketing book that I was commissioned by the Acorn Oak Agency, NYC. These particular drawings were not used in the book, but the freeness of the gestures was very successful as a study.
